Most fake stores disappear within two weeks, and new ones replace them
Someone is selling a fake copy of your store.
Clonewatch finds the clones, lookalike domains and scam ads using your brand, and gets them taken down before your customers pay them.
What we look for
Cloned stores
Shopify and other stores selling your products with your own photos and descriptions, usually at 60–90% off.
Lookalike domains
yourbrand-outlet.shop, yourbrnad.com, yourbrand.store: typo, keyword and new-TLD copies, checked every day.
Scam ads
Ads using your name and product photos to send buyers to a fake checkout.
Networks of fakes
Fakes that share a store account, analytics ids or a server, so one takedown request covers them all.
From fake to gone
- 1
We find them
Every day we generate the addresses a scammer would use, read new certificates and threat feeds, and compare every suspect store's catalogue with yours.
- 2
You see the proof
Each finding says why in plain words (your photos, your titles, prices 70% lower, registered 9 days ago) with a capture of the page.
- 3
We take them down
One click files the requests with the store platform, host, registrar, browsers and payment providers, then chases them until the fake is gone.
- 4
We keep watching
Taken-down fakes often come back under a new name on the same server. We catch the return, and warn your customers meanwhile.
Your customers blame you
A buyer who pays a fake store gets nothing, or a cheap knock-off, and then emails your support, leaves your brand a one-star review and files a chargeback with their bank. Every fake costs you sales, support hours and trust.
- Catalogue matching. We compare every suspect store's products, photo files and prices with yours.
- Evidence packs. Page captures with times, registrar and host details, ready for any abuse desk.
- Takedowns, chased. Notices to hosts, registrars, Shopify, browsers and payment providers, with follow-ups.
- Alerts and a warning page. Email and Slack the day a fake appears, and a page your customers can check.
- Official-store badge. A small badge and a 'report a fake' link for your own site.
Priced for independent brands
Brand protection firms start around $25,000 a year. Monitoring starts at $29 a month, and takedowns done for you at $99.
Questions
Is this only for Shopify stores?
No. Any online store can be checked. Shopify stores get the deepest product matching today because Shopify publishes a store's catalogue; other platforms are matched by their photos and pages.
Do you need access to my store?
No. We read what any visitor can see. To file takedowns in your name you prove you own the site (a DNS record, a meta tag or installing the Shopify app) and sign an authorisation.
How fast are fakes taken down?
It depends on who hosts them. Registrars and hosts often act within days; Shopify can take a couple of weeks. We file with the browsers' blocklists and payment providers at the same time, which cuts a fake's traffic and money well before it's removed.
Will you report a real business by mistake?
We work hard not to. A finding needs real evidence (your products or photos, customer reports, a threat list), not just a similar name; your own regional stores are recognised; and a brand's first takedowns are reviewed by a person before they go out.
What does the free scan include?
One full scan of your store: lookalike domains, copied Shopify stores, certificates and threat feeds, with a shareable report. Monitoring and takedowns are on the paid plans.
