Acceptable use
Last updated 30 October 2026
Clonewatch exists to remove stores and sites that defraud customers by pretending to be a brand. Takedown requests have real consequences for the sites they name, so we hold their use to a high standard.
You may
- Request takedowns of sites that copy your store, products, photos or name to sell to your customers, or that pretend to be you.
You may not
- Request takedowns of genuine resellers, retailers, marketplaces or sellers of genuine second-hand goods.
- Target competitors, reviewers, critics, parody, news or anyone using your name lawfully.
- Add a brand you don't own or represent, or misstate your rights in a notice.
How we enforce it
- Ownership is verified before any takedown, and each brand's first takedowns are reviewed by a person.
- Every notice carries an address for the recipient to dispute it.
- We suspend accounts that misuse the service and may tell the recipients of affected notices.
If you received one of our notices
If you believe a notice about your site is wrong, write to support@ballmac.com with the case number. We review every dispute.
