Terms of service
Last updated 30 October 2026
These terms cover your use of Clonewatch, a service of Ballmac (“we”). By creating an account or running a scan you agree to them.
What we do
We look for websites, stores and ads that appear to copy or impersonate your brand, show you what we find with the evidence, and, if you ask and your plan includes it, send takedown requests to the companies that host, register, list or process payments for them.
What we don't promise
- We can't find every copy. Scammers change addresses daily and some sources are not public.
- Findings are an assessment, not a legal finding. You decide what to act on.
- Removal is decided by the hosts, registrars and platforms we write to, not by us, and some act slowly or not at all.
Your account and your brand
- You may only add brands you own or are authorised to act for, and you must prove control of the brand's site before any takedown is sent.
- When you sign the takedown authorisation, you appoint us as your agent to send notices in your name and confirm the statements in them are true to the best of your knowledge.
- You must not use the service against legitimate competitors, resellers you have authorised, critics, or anyone else whose use of your name is lawful. See the acceptable use policy.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in email secure.
Plans and payment
Paid plans renew monthly until cancelled. You can cancel any time from Billing; the plan stays on until the end of the period you paid for. Payments are handled by Dodo Payments (our merchant of record) or, for the Shopify app, by Shopify.
Liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost sales.
Ending
You can delete your brands and account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, in particular the acceptable use policy.
